From February 14 to May 14 we are accepting submissions for our new anthology, "__ First Dates"! Why the "__" in the title? Because we'll name it after however many comics we receive!
We're looking for black and white comics about first dates. These could be based on your most memorable first date (the date from hell/the best one ever) or they could be completely fictional! Maybe you want to work in a specific genre (horror, comedy, sci-fi). It's up to you!

Requirements:
• 1-2 black and white pages.
• Comic dimensions must be 6.625 x 10.25 inch pages, including a bleed which makes the whole page 6.867 x 10.5 inches.
• Absolutely NO AI - all writing/images must be made by a human.
• Submissions open February 14-May 14.
• You will be notified by June 1 if your piece has been selected.
• The book will be put up for pre-order from July 1-August 31 on this website. During this time contributors will place their orders as well (receiving their books at cost). However many books are ordered will dictate the print run.
• Books will be shipped out in October!
What contributors get:
• North American contributors receive one free copy of the book/free shipping!
• International contributors will receive a free copy but must pay for shipping (sorry)!
• Every contributor will receive a digital copy!
• Contributors are able to order copies at cost ($10 Canadian) to sell ($30 Canadian) at your leisure. We will PayPal invoice you for the cost of the books + shipping when they’re ready to go.
• You retain the rights to your work.
Where are they being printed?
The books will be printed here in Winnipeg at Print Pro. We have worked with them before and they are lovely humans who care about quality and customer service (and they have the best prices/turnaround time).
The money made from the presale will cover the print run and the cost of shipping the comp books to contributors. We would love to be able to pay everyone for their submissions, but the best we can do is the free copy and additional copies at cost. This way, you can sell them and make some money back while promoting indie comics!
